Lifetime Warranty Policy
At BB Designer Jewellers we take immense pride in our dedication to exceptional craftsmanship and premium-quality fine jewellery. Our goal is to provide timeless, ethically crafted pieces that bring lasting joy to our clients. To uphold this promise, every creation is rigorously tested and undergoes meticulous quality control to ensure the highest standards.
Lifetime Warranty
We offer a complementary Lifetime Warranty from the date of purchase, covering any manufacturing defects on all gold and platinum jewellery.Manufacturing defects relate to the structural integrity of the jewellery, and these issues typically manifest within the initial months. Any item deemed defective due to manufacturing flaws will be promptly repaired or replaced at no cost within 30 days of return. Additionally, we will cover all shipping and postage costs associated with these returns.
Exceptions to the Lifetime Warranty
Please note that consumer guarantees do not apply under the following circumstances:
• You received the item you ordered but later decided it no longer suits your needs, found it cheaper elsewhere, or changed your mind.
• The product was misused, damaged, or altered in a way that caused the issue.
• You were informed of or aware of any faults prior to purchasing the product.
What Is Covered?
The Lifetime Warranty covers manufacturing defects, which may include:
• Porosity, surface pores, or blemishes in the metal.
• Chips, scratches, or nicks in stones at the time of collection.
• Irregularities in rhodium plating, including stains or “splashes” on the metal.
• Small diamonds falling out without evidence of damage.
Claiming Your Lifetime Warranty
If you believe your jewellery has a manufacturing defect, please follow the steps below:

Email us at info@bbdesignerjewellers.com.au, and we’ll arrange an inspection of your piece.
Postage Deposit
For customers unable to visit our showroom, a deposit is required to cover two-way shipping:
-Within Australia: $50 AUD
-International: $250 AUD
(Please review our Lifetime Warranty guidelines carefully, as deposits are non-refundable if the issue is not deemed a manufacturing defect)
Assessment Process
Our team will conduct a complementary inspection to determine if the damage is covered under warranty. If the damage is not covered, we’ll provide a repair quote for your approval. Should you choose not to proceed, your deposit will cover the return shipping.
If a Manufacturing Defect is Confirmed
Your deposit will be fully refunded, and we’ll carry out the necessary repairs at no cost to you.
Please note: Repairs or services performed by any jeweller other than BB Designer Jewellers will void the Lifetime Warranty.
Wear and Tear or Damage (Not Covered by Lifetime Warranty)
Fine jewellery is delicate and can be impacted by daily wear and routine activities. Our Lifetime Warranty does not cover damages caused by accidents, mishandling, improper use, theft, or general wear and tear. Below are examples of common issues that are not considered manufacturing defect:
• Dents, abrasions and scratches on settings: Precious metals naturally shoe signs of wear over time as they are malleable. We recommend an annual service to ensure your stone settings remain secure. A professional clean and polish can restore your piece to its original brilliance.
• Broken or bent prongs/claws: Prongs may bend, catch or wear down through regular use, potentially causing stones to loosen or fall out.
• Pits or holes in settings: Often the result of exposure to corrosive chemicals like chlorine bleach or harsh cleaning agents. Exposure to chemicals is highly evident during assessment. Corrosion on jewellery is very common especially when exposed to chlorine.
• Discolourationof precious metals: May occur due to contact with chemicals, cosmetics, chlorine (from pools or hot tubs) or while bathing/showering.
• Worn-down metal components: Parts such as claws and bands may need periodic restoration as part of regular maintenance.
• Chips, scratches, nicks or breakages in diamonds or gemstones: Although durable, diamonds and gemstones are not indestructible. Certain impacts, especially along edges or girdles, can cause chips or cracks. Prong-set designs with exposed edges are particularly susceptible.
• Loss of stones: Arising from damage caused by everyday use or other external factors.
Please note: The Lifetime Warranty applies exclusively with proof of purchase and is void if the jewellery has been altered in any way.
Jewellery Care
To ensure your jewellery maintains its beauty and longevity, we recommend removing your rings and other pieces before engaging in hands-on activities. As a rule of thumb, jewellery should be the final touch when leaving the house and the first item to be removed upon returning.
For optimal protection, follow these precautions:
• Remove jewellery before participating in sports, visiting the gym, swimming or undertaking heavy housework such as dishwashing or gardening.
• Insure your jewellery through a specialist insurance provider offering coverage for theft, loss and damage worldwide.
By adopting these practices, you can help keep your treasured pieces as radiant as the day you acquired them.
